10 tricks to fight wrinkles

If you don’t know the secret of the elixir of eternal youth or the exact location of the fountain of youth, discover the right way to keep your complexion fresh and younger longer!

We give you 10 tips to effectively fight wrinkles.

Elasticity, clear skin complexion. At 40 years old, we all dream of recovering the skin of our twenties.

Prevention is better than cure, starting at the age of 20-25, we offer ourselves a treatment adapted to the part of the face most prone to first wrinkles: the eye contour area.

If it’s a little late, don’t panic, some ranges of products specially designed for women aged 40 and over offer targeted care to fill in the signs of aging.

1. Moisturize your skin copiously

The first step to take to delay the appearance of the early wrinkles as much as possible is to moisturize in high doses.

However, among all the creams on the market, it is difficult to make a choice. Essential ingredients are antioxidants (vitamins C, E or selenium for example), which protect the skin from external aggressions, such as pollution or UV rays. Fruit acids, on the other hand, are used to brighten the skin, thanks to the peeling effect and the stimulation of collagen production they provide.

Choose your treatment according to your skin type of course (nourishing for dry skin, mattifying for more mixed to oily skin) and consider using a complementary therapy for the risk area around the eyes.

Thinner in this region, therefore more fragile, the skin is particularly vulnerable, and it is often there that the first fine lines of dehydration appear. Choose a fluid formula and apply it, morning and evening, well up at the eyebrow arch and then following the surrounding of the eye itself.

2. Adopt the peeling

What is peeling? A technique that consists in “peeling” the skin in order to renew the upper layers of the epidermis.

To put it simply, the peeling works like a scrub but in a much deeper way. Exclusively performed by a specialist, this treatment treats many small “imperfections” of the skin using an acid-based chemical process.

Many people then use peelings to get rid of their wrinkles. However, this one has a cost! The price of an average peeling (adapted to reduce wrinkles) varies between $150 and $500. So inevitably, before we start, we think about it.

But have you thought about the peelings that can be done at home?

For some time now, cosmetic brands have been marketing skin care products that reproduce the effects of a softer, lighter peel.

For example, L’Oréal Paris now offers anti-aging peeling discs. Pre-impregnated glycolic acid discs that are used every evening as a 30-day cure.

And from the first use, the results are visible: the skin is smoother. After 4 weeks, the epidermis is refined; spots and wrinkles are visibly reduced. Suitable for all skin types, Revitalift Laser x3 Discs are THE solution to effectively fight against the signs of aging at a reasonable price.

3. Cleanse and remove makeup daily

Every morning, start by removing all the small impurities that dull the complexion with a tonic or micellar water: a simple and effective way to prepare the skin to receive serum and day cream.

On the other hand, in the evening, remove makeup properly (with a milk if your skin is dry and a foaming gel if it is oily), followed by a skin toner to remove the last traces of make-up.

This way, your skin will be perfectly “cleaned” of pollutants, and your anti-wrinkle cream will act all the more effectively.

4. Take care of your nutrition

Preserve your youth capital by snacking? An idea that is not necessarily so crazy, as long as you know how to choose the right foods!

On the menu: five fruits and vegetables per day of course, but we also opt for products rich in antioxidants (raspberries, green tea, apricots, cherries, artichokes, beets, cabbage, avocados, tomatoes) and omega 3 (salmon, olive and nut oil, tuna, spinach).

The result: younger skin and a much more balanced diet!

5. Protect yourself effectively from the sun

Sworn enemy of the skin: the Sun God. And for a good reason, its UVA and UVB rays – by penetrating the skin – cause lesions inside the cells themselves, damaging collagen and elastin fibers and thus creating a photoaging phenomenon (premature aging of the skin).

To deal with its nuisances, use sunscreen adapted to your skin type (e.g., SPF 50 for fair skin, 30 for brunettes with matte skin and 20 for black skin), reapply every two hours and avoid exposure between 12 pm and 4 pm.

6. Massage yourself

There’s nothing like a facial massage to relax features and smooth fine lines. Used gently during the application of the cream, it boosts its effectiveness.

– To fight crow’s feet, draw small circles around the eyes with your finger.

– To blur horizontal forehead wrinkles, repeat movements from the center of the forehead to the temples.

– For interbrow wrinkles (lion’s wrinkles), place the index, middle and ring finger of both hands on both eyebrows. Apply a slight pressure outward while frowning. Hold the contraction 2 or 3 seconds, repeat a dozen times. It is a muscular work to be done in prevention starting at 25 years old.

7. Drink enough fluids

A liter of water a day, no less! A simple, practical and economical way to forget grey complexion and wrinkled skin too early, and to display a fresh and pulpy skin all year round.

8. Sleep well

It has been proven that for women, poor sleep speeds up skin aging. According to a dermatological study conducted in the United States, there is a close relationship between sleep and skin health.

Good quality sleep offers the skin a better ability to self-repair and recovers from the various stresses it can experience, while a bad night leads to the appearance of more fine lines, more pigment differences, and a more significant loss of elasticity.

We, therefore, take advantage of our long and good nights of daily sleep to apply an adapted anti-aging cream.

9. Make love

And yes! A study presented to the British Psychological Society by David Weeks, a neuropsychologist at Edinburgh Hospital, showed that sport and sex are two fundamental ways to look younger.

Indeed, regular physical activity and having 3 (it is precise) sexual intercourse per week allows you to look between 7 to 12 years younger than your real age. Just that! Even if these results remain observations, trying them out is not extremely constraining.

10. Protect yourself

Pollution, alcohol, tobacco, it’s taboo for the skin too.

Indeed, all of them alter the cutaneous microcirculation and cause premature aging of the skin, which becomes dry, dull and wrinkled.

We can never repeat it enough; a healthy lifestyle is a key to many problems.
