Life is not a fixed point. It’s an ongoing cycle, and you’re living it right now. You make decisions that affect your future, as well as that of people around you. There is nothing in life that is perfect and complete–including you.
You exist to live life and turn it into something you enjoy. To realize this, you need to find beauty in all things.
Accept Your Imperfections
You may not have blemish-free skin and you buy eyebrow makeup for sale to always have eyebrows on fleek. You have freckles, moles, or birthmarks. Your body shape is less than ideal. So what? If you ask your friends, you’ll find they have insecurities too. No one is perfect, even if you think you’re the only flawed one. Your flaws are different than your friends’ but everyone is valid and beautiful. Instead of waking up and hating your imperfections, remember that these make you who you are. You are not exactly like everyone else, but that’s not a bad thing.
Learn from Your Mistakes
When you were a child, you didn’t know anything about anything. You learned to walk and talk. You took risks and those risks told you what to do and what not to do anymore. Making mistakes is part of growing up, but now that you’re an adult, you’re under the impression that you can’t make mistakes anymore. That’s not how life works. Every day, you’re learning something new, and it’s understandable that you’ll make mistakes. There’s no need to beat yourself up over one mistake, and it shouldn’t stop you from doing something you love. Each mistake is an opportunity to learn, so take the lesson and consider it when making future decisions.
Humans are governed by their emotions, and this is what makes forgiving hard. When you’ve been wronged, you hold on to the pain and everything you do is governed by the fear of feeling that pain again. This results in barriers you put around yourself. This also keeps you from doing things you can learn from. You stop growing because of fear, and you are burdened by the pain because you refuse to forgive. This will only prolong the pain, especially if you refuse to forgive yourself. You think you’re the problem because you are imperfect and you are not enough. The pain you’re carrying is inflicted upon yourself. No one is winning.
Seek Happiness Within
What many don’t realize is that happiness is not as elusive as they think. What makes happiness seem fragile is because we associate it with other people. You wait for others to come along and make you happy. The healthier way of living is to find happiness for yourself. At the end of the day, you should go to bed happy with your own achievements without seeking validation from others. Be your own champion and lift yourself up so that you can move forward without regrets.
Life would not be as fun and fulfilling if it wasn’t filled with surprises and imperfections. The way to live life to the fullest is to accept that you will make mistakes and that you are not perfect.
