Celebrities love to go out and get noticed, and you can regularly find photos of them entering or exiting some of the most popular and upscale restaurants in the country. While they look glamorous
and seem like they’ve had a good time, it’s impossible to tell what delicacies they dined on in each establishment. Whether you’re just a curious onlooker or want to replicate a celebrity menu at home, there are four different meats you can guarantee are on the list.
Most five-star restaurants frequented by celebrities feature classic filet mignon on the menu. It is a very simple type of meat to prepare, especially since it can be eaten rare or even raw and very finely chopped – as in filet mignon tartar. Prepare filet mignon by moving your oven rack to the highest position and setting the oven to broil. Rub the steaks with olive oil and season as desired. Cook for five to seven minutes, turn and cook an additional five to seven minutes.
Another type of meat even the most health-conscious celebrities enjoy is wagyu beef. This type of meat contains high concentrations of Omega-3 fatty acids and other good fats. Find a wagyu brisket for sale, and be prepared to pay a high price since the meat is in high demand and not mass produced. Store the meat in the coldest part of the refrigerator until time for cooking. Trim the fat and cover both sides of the meat with sea salt and black pepper. Sear the meat on both sides in olive oil on the stove top until they are golden brown. Reduce the heat to low and cover the skillet, then allow the beef to continue to cook for 45 minutes.
If beef is not your preference, turn to duck. This type of meat is highly sought-after in fine restaurants due to its melt-in-your mouth texture and high fat content. Use a duck breast to prepare a simple, delicious entree. Soak the breast in a marinade of olive oil, coriander, cloves, allspice, shallots, salt and pepper for at least one hour. When preparing, cook the duck breast, skin side down, in a skillet over medium heat for 8 to 12 minutes to get the skin crispy. Turn the breast over and cook another one to two minutes to lightly brown the opposite side before placing the breast in an oven preheated to 375 degrees. Cook the breast until it reaches 155 degrees (eight to 10 minutes), then slice and serve immediately.
Seafood is another option many celebrities prefer to other types of meat. It is low in calories and fat, and very simple to prepare. Salmon is a popular item with celebrities and it is easy to prepare. Simply purchase a fresh salmon filet, brush it with olive oil and season to your personal tastes. Brown the salmon filet in oil on the stove before transferring it to the oven to cook at 425 degrees for approximately 10 minutes.
