There are many different types of meditation techniques a person now can use in order to bring themselves peace and tranquility.

The different meditation techniques will be discussed in this article. Some of the techniques are as follows: Guided Meditation, Chakra Meditation, Yoga Meditation and Mantra Meditation.

First, Guided meditation really involves someone guiding you through the process of meditation and helping you to achieve an outcome of some description. A guided meditation is an excellent way of meditating. Typically, you sit back and play a CD or MP3 track and follow the instructions on it. Most people find this an easier way to meditate than the traditional methods of clearing the mind and focusing on just one thing.

Second is Chakra Meditation. Most of us believe that chakras reflect the life force energy. However, there are chances for charkas to be out of balance. Chakra meditation facilitates rebalancing the energy fields. To start chakra meditation, you can seek out any position you find comfortable. Then relax yourself by taking deep breath and allow your eyes to close slowly. There are two types of approaches in Chakra meditation. You can either imagine your energy being balanced in the chakra spots in your body, or you can see the colors linked with such spots.

Next, is the Mantra Meditation. This technique involves a person learning to consciously repeat certain sounds that they find appealing to their mind and which will help them to achieve a meditative state. The word mantra actually means “revealed sound” or a “combination of sounds” which are developed naturally. However it is important that you do not confuse mantra meditation with religious chanting.

Yoga meditation, it is essentially the fusion of yoga and meditation. Of all the exercises you can do, these two are the most relaxing. The main objective is to get your mind, body and spirit in sync. You don’t just focus on one aspect; you focus on all three simultaneously. Exercising regularly can help you tone your body and get you in shape. However, a healthy body isn’t complete without a healthy mind and soul.
